BOTH. It never fails.  Especially in a school setting. My last name starts with an ‘A’ so i’m usually first in an attendance sheet. And so the first day of class, whenever they take a look at the roll, they all say the same thing: “Forgive me if I pronounce any of your names wrong.” Lmao. Always. Or they just blunder through it and butcher it. Rarely do they get it right.
